Charles T.K. MacQueen was born in 1941 and graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1962. After leaving college he taught at Jordanhill College of Education while pursuing a energetic career as a painter. He was elected a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute in 1983 and the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour in 1984. He has had solo exhibitions in Both Glasgow and London and has won several major Scottish awards for painting. He now lives and paints full-time in Edinburgh
