June Carey was born in1942 and studied at Glasgow School of Art and Edinburgh School of Art. She had her first solo exhibition in 1987 at the Edinburgh Printmakers and has continued to exhibit widely throughout Scotland and in the process has won several major awards. Her paintings are held in collections as diverse as the B.B.C. Television, Oxford University and the private collection of Peter Gabriel
