Norman Kirkham was born in 1936 and studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1953-58. He has been an interior designer and furniture designer and has held various teaching appointments at Glasgow School of Art. He is also a past president of Glasgow Art Club is is currently the Honorary Secretary of the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art.
Over the years he has been a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy (London), Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Society of Portrait Painters (London) and the Royal Glasgow Institute.
His work is in private and corporate collections in America, United Kingdom, Europe, South Africa and Hong Kong.
