Highland Walk by Nerine Tassie

An exciting time at Frames Gallery!

Nerine Tassie and Phil Edwards hit the screen!

It’s been a tremendously exciting time recently at the gallery. After her wonderful success at being crowned the winner of the Sky Arts Landscape Painter of the Year 2015, it would be fair to say that there has been a wee bit of excitement around Nerine Tassie’s solo show!

Nerine

With 19 original works on display, this exhibition has been her first solo show since winning and we were unsurprised to have enquiries from around the UK about her. We have been hanging her work on the walls ever since her degree show 14 years ago at Edinburgh College of Art, and it’s fantastic to see her get the success she deserves! She’s taking a break from her teaching career to focus on her painting and we can’t wait to see what comes out of her studio next.

But, talking of success coming to those who deserve it, who should pop up next on Sky Arts but Perth born and bred, Phil Edwards! His immaculate technique and breath-taking landscapes have taken the world by storm, and again the emails have been flooding in and we’ve had people coming into the gallery asking about his work ever since the programme aired on Tuesday. Well, we’ll delighted to tell you that he is featuring in our Winter Exhibition, opening on Saturday 18th November!

Send us an email if you’d like an invitation to the Private View, and meanwhile, happy viewing!
