Anne Skinner RSW
Artist’s Statement
Anne Skinner’s work explores the fragmented nature of memory — the traces of images and impressions that linger long after an experience has passed. Half remembered, half forgotten.
Through her practice, Anne seeks to evoke a sense of time and place, drawing inspiration from diverse themes such as the atmospheric beauty of Venice and the ever-changing natural environment of Scotland.
Her ideas develop from careful observation and are expressed through a range of methods, styles, and disciplines. Anne’s aim is to capture the essence of her subject — to convey the mood, light, and emotion of a fleeting moment in time.
