Artists Statement….

My main interest is in Printmaking (usually linocut and drypoint) and Artists books. Over the last few years my work has been shaped by collaborations with writers and other artists. In 1999 I formed Cacafuego Press with Tom Pow. In 2002 I was visiting lecturer at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York State with an emphasis on Artists books. In 2005 I began my own imprint Roncadora Press to allow me to make more one-off and personalised artists books. I was one of four facilitators at the Wexford Artists Book Symposium in September 2005 and have exhibited at numerous Artists Book Fairs. Roncadora publications have several times been shortlisted for the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award for Poetry publishing and the Michael Marks Award at the British Library, winning the Callum Macdonald Award in 2009 2017 and 2021. I have more recently been involved in exhibitions and cross-arts events with craft-makers and musicians resulting in performances as well as publications.
Since the 2020 lockdown I have returned to painting. My work is mainly small still life groups using favourite objects from my house with flowers and fruit.
