Madeleine Davenport
Born in Edinburgh 1960
University of Edinburgh M.A (Honours) in Fine Art 1978-83
Currently living and working in Comrie, Perthshire
I produce work in both oils and watercolour and enjoy the different qualities offered by these mediums. My work has been shown widely in private galleries in Scotland and at the Royal Scottish Academy, the R.S.W., Visual Arts Scotland and also at the Mall Galleries in London.
In 2004 I was elected as a professional member of Visual Arts Scotland.
In 2023 I was elected as an Associate of the Royal Society of Marine Artists
In 2019 I received an award of Exhibiting Excellence for Oil Painting by the Society of Botanical Artists at their annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
In 2024 I won the Murray’s Award at the RSMA annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London
