Agata Krutul

(born. 1983, Białystok, Poland)

Agata Krutul is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting with a specialization in stage design from the Jan Art Academy  in Krakow, and the Art Department of the Institute of Fine Arts at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.

She is a painter, teacher, and scenographer. She prefers to work with small forms and spaces, as she enjoys detailed art. She brings her paintings to life by creating the decorations and costumes herself, which is why her painting style strongly resonates with scenography.

She combines different artistic worlds using various techniques such as planes, textures, and bold colors. She playfully explores her subjects, often placing them in unconventional backgrounds with a grotesque and surreal approach. Her paintings often depict houses, boats, bikes, birds, and horses, although new themes constantly emerge. Agata takes up topics that interest her the most at the moment and translates them in her own unique style, which is characterized by a sense of distance and a distorted approach to the world.
