Babs Pease
Babs Pease is an artist currently living near Dollar, Clackmannanshire and having studied at Edinburgh University and the College of Art from 1983 – 1987, she has recently returned to full time work after taking a break to bring up her four children.
Living in the countryside the themes of her work tends to be influenced by the surrounding landscape, flora and fauna. She paints primarily in watercolours as it has a luminous quality hard to match in other mediums. Her work also includes a number of printmaking techniques, in particular linocut and etching, She likes to use these techniques for my illustration work and am currently working on a series of greeting cards featuring animals from ostriches and penguins to dogs and cats. She is also a member of the Dunfermline Printmakers workshop and regularly take part in Perthshire Open Studios.
