Jan Radnan

Jan attended Parliament Hill School in London where I was inspired by a wonderful Art teacher, Audrey Walker, who went on to become Professor of Creative Textiles at Goldsmith College of Art

She studied at Camberwell School of Art and Design  for a 4 year Degree course followed by a post-graduate course in Textile Technology at Leeds University

After leaving University she became involved in a print studio, designing and printing fabrics for the fashion Designer Jeff Banks.

In the late sixties Jan became an Art teacher.

My career as an Art teacher lasted for thirty years teaching children and adults at all levels.

In retirement I moved to live in Southern Spain for 12 years where I was able to paint full time alongside giving private painting classes in my studio.

My work has been exhibited in the following Galleries and spaces:

Cupola Gallery Sheffield

Ayuntamiento Castell De Ferro

Cidi Hiaya Gallery Granada

Gallery La Conca Salobrena Granada Province

La Galeria Periana Malaga Province

I moved to Scotland in February 2018 where my recent paintings have been inspired by the farmlands close to where I live and by the sea and sky of Tiree
